Seville to Madrid: the measurements
We tested our Seville hosting platform against four Speedtest endpoints listed in Madrid and operated by different providers. Here are all four results from 11 October 2026.
| Madrid test server | Idle latency (ms) | Download (Mbps) | Upload (Mbps) | Packet loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orange (14979) | 8.51 | 4710.21 | 5417.60 | 0.0% |
| Adamo (1680) | 8.24 | 6307.09 | 5464.99 | 0.0% |
| Ohz (52295) | 35.15 | 6664.33 | 2754.07 | 0.0% |
| Free Technologies Excom SL (56355) | 8.78 | 5970.11 | 1242.41 | Not available |
Download measures traffic received in Seville from the Madrid test server. Upload measures traffic sent from Seville to Madrid. Latency is a network round-trip measurement, not a website loading time.

Orange · Adamo · Ohz · Free Technologies Excom SL
What happened under load?
Speedtest also recorded latency while transferring data.
| Madrid test server | During download | During upload | Maximum during download |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orange | 69.42 | 15.99 | 388.12 |
| Adamo | 12.25 | 15.54 | 16.07 |
| Ohz | 60.71 | 35.17 | 328.55 |
| Free Technologies Excom SL | 13.94 | 8.99 | 470.42 |
The results vary by destination, particularly under load. The higher Ohz latency and the recorded spikes are included so you can assess the complete set of measurements.
How we measured
Ookla Speedtest CLI, run on our Seville host node kvm-lps-es03, with each destination selected by server ID. These are individual host-level measurements, not continuous monitoring or guaranteed speeds for an individual VPS. They measure connectivity to the named endpoints, not application performance or the experience of every Madrid user.
When is Seville worth considering?
If you are choosing hosting for a website, API or business application used in Madrid, include Seville in your shortlist and evaluate the connection from the networks that matter to you.
The measurements give you a starting point. Your application's response time will also depend on its software, resource requirements and each visitor's connection.
If your project specifically requires a server physically located in Madrid, our Seville location will not meet that requirement.

The Seville Looking Glass supports ping, traceroute and MTR from our platform to a destination you specify. Testing in both directions helps you evaluate the routes relevant to your deployment.
Choose your Seville VPS
Start with the resources your application needs. Our KVM VPS plans include full root access and support Cloud-Init.

Madrid VPS hosting: your questions answered
Do you offer a VPS in Madrid?
The VPS offer on this page is physically hosted in Seville, Spain. Madrid is the destination of the network tests and the audience this page helps evaluate our Seville alternative.
Where will my VPS actually run?
Your VPS will run at Sevilla Data Center, C. Nicolás Copérnico 18, 41300 San José de la Rinconada, Seville, Spain.
Is Seville faster than a VPS in Madrid?
These tests do not establish that. A meaningful comparison would require testing specific VPS instances against the same destinations under comparable conditions. Our Seville platform reached three Madrid endpoints with idle round-trip latency below 9 ms during this measurement session.
Will my users in Madrid get the same latency?
Not necessarily. Latency depends on each user's network, the route and current conditions. Test from the connections relevant to your application before choosing a location.
